The Commercial Loan Processor is a key operational role within the commercial lending team, responsible for ensuring accurate preparation, validation, and execution of commercial loan documentation. This position serves as a central coordination point between Commercial Bankers, Credit Analysts, customers, attorneys, and title companies, helping maintain the integrity and compliance of every loan file from origination through closing.
This role plays an essential part in maintaining the health of the commercial loan portfolio by monitoring financial and collateral requirements, tracking exceptions, maintaining reporting items, and ensuring proper collateral insurance. The Commercial Loan Processor also oversees the organization and preservation of commercial credit files and manages the processing of paid‑off loans in accordance with regulatory and retention standards. A strong understanding of banking regulations—including BSA, AML, CIP, HMDA, and related requirements—is fundamental to this position. The Commercial Loan Processor ensures all documentation and processes align with internal policies and federal and state regulations, contributing to a compliant, efficient, and customer‑focused lending environment.
