Sponsored by the Department of Languages and Indigenous Studies at BSU, a Lecture by Dr. Vivian Delgado. The Spanish language has been present in this continent and in the US since the point of contact. It has become a first and second language in many Indigenous communities since conquest. This presentation will discuss definitions found among some Indigenous people, interpretations and use of the Spanish language and how it changes with time.
