DESCRIPTION:The Talley Gallery is pleased to present the Northern Clay Center's touring ceramic exhibit\, Five McKnight Artist. The exhibit features the works of two 2020 McKnight Fellows and three 2019 McKnight Artist Residents. The fellowship artists used the grants to defray studio costs and living expenses\, experiment with new materials and techniques and build upon ideas within their current and past work. The fellowships are awarded annually to outstanding mid-career Minnesota ceramic artists. The residencies are awarded to artists outside of Minnesota for a three-month stay at the Northern Clay Center. The Awards from the McKnight Foundation are designed to strengthen and enhance Minnesota's artistic community.
