DESCRIPTION:KAXE/KBXE and Watermark Art Center present a captivating evening of true stories told live on stage at Bemidji Brewing on Tuesday\, May 20.\n\n\n\nThe theme for the evening is "Where I Come From". Featured storytellers\, all of whom have appeared on past broadcasts of KAXE/KBXE's "Stay Human"\, include Scott Stowell from Ely\, author of Back Road Grace\; long-time local storyteller Ann Marie Newman\, currently from Clearbrook\; Leif Wallin\, from Bemidji\; Susie Saxhaug Loeffler from Grand Rapids and Substack author of "Sounds from My Brain"\; and Northwoods storyteller Terry O'Brien from Suomi Township in rural Itasca County. Open mic\, time permitting\, will follow the featured programming. Two Hearted will provide live music.\n\n\n\nDoors open at 6pm\, performances begin at 7pm. There is no cost to attend or perform. Bemidji Brewing is located at 211 America Avenue NW in Bemidji. There is no admission fee charged for the evening.\n\n\n\nThe show will be hosted by Michael Goldberg\, the producer of "Stay Human" - a mix of words and music for spirit and courage\, broadcast Saturday mornings at 9 am (repeats Sunday at 5 pm) on KAXE Grand Rapids and KBXE 90.5 FM in Bemidji\, streaming at kaxe.org.
