SUMMARY:Relearning the past: Informing the Present
DESCRIPTION:Presented by Kevin Williams\, owner of K. James Consultation\, the focus of this session is unpacking historical narratives that guide our present thoughts on race and racism. If we are seeking to make a more equitable society\, we have to come to terms with the full scope of what the country's history is\, how that continues to influence us today\, and finally\, what we can do to change it. We did not get to where we are in a vacuum - to achieve equity\, we must understand the trajectory of our nation's development.
