SUMMARY:Paint Your Pet - Great River Rescue Fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:Spend the afternoon creating an original work of art of your favorite furry friend.  Local artist Jill Neumann will guide you step-by-step in creating a custom acrylic 8 x10 painted portrait of your pet.\n\n\n\nYou will need to submit a high-res jpeg photo of your pet (head shot please) as an email attachment 2 weeks prior to the workshop. If you do not have a pet to paint\, you can paint one of our shelter pets - phone 218 751-7910 to arrange taking a photo.  Email the headshot to artnoodle@yahoo.com by the end of Friday\, February 14th.\n\n\n\nAll proceeds will be donated to Great River Rescue\, a 501(c)3 no-kill animal shelter in Bemidji since 1977.\n\n\n\nGreat River Rescue is a no-kill\, 501(c)3 non-profit organization providing shelter and care to hundreds of cats and dogs every year. The shelter relies on individuals and community events for the majority of its funding. From April to November\, Great River Rescue holds monthly Pet Fixers Low-Cost Spay and Neuter Clinics\, performing around 80 operations each weekend.
